Hello everyone!
I'm getting into the world of light novels (I'm receiving the first Danmachi book tomorrow), and I'd like to hear your opinions on this series. I really enjoyed the anime, but I haven't read the manga. Do you generally think that the light novels provide good details about the stories? Are the Danmachi light novels good and enjoyable to read (I'm not usually a fan of novels)?

So, unfortunately, I haven't read the Danmachi light novel, but regarding the level of detail between a light novel and an anime, the answer is YES. Absolutely yes.
The novel format allows for so much more detail about the characters' psychology or, sometimes, their past. ^^ Especially since, let's not forget, anime often serve to promote light novels. ^^

The light novel isn't heavy; if you're not used to reading, it's a very good book to start with.
The text is easy to read and well-spaced. There's quite a bit of additional information about the series, even some extra scenes. In
terms of the story's atmosphere, the light novel immerses you much more in the story than the anime: there's less explicit content and more description,
but it's especially in the atmosphere that there's a big change
. And how can I put it... certain passages are much more detailed,
like when Lili is extorted, the atmosphere of her guild, etc.
, what the character feels, why he makes his choices, what he's been through, who pushed him to become the way he is,
and above all, we learn more about Bell's grandfather.

I finished the third one last night, and I'm waiting for the last three, haha.
I completely agree about the much more detailed books, etc., but also that it's a great way to "start" reading novels. It almost makes me want to start a small light novel collection.
Furthermore, for those who might be wondering, the fight scenes are really well explained, and often with multiple points of view (depending on the characters present during the fight), which is really interesting.
